Our Law Firm Background

Wilson Helms & Cartledge started in April 1992 with four attorneys who worked together at a large regional law firm.

G. Gray Wilson has been practicing for over thirty years and is the author of a popular, two-volume treatise on North Carolina Civil Procedure.  Linda L. Helms joined the firm in 1999 and became a partner in January 2002. Kevin B. Cartledge joined the firm in 1998 and became a partner in 2004.  Stuart H. Russell joined the firm in 2006 and became a partner in January 2012.

All four partners have extensive experience in both state and federal courts.  While the firm focuses on professional liability defense, insurance defense and business litigation, the attorneys have experience litigating all types of cases, including construction defects, shareholder suits, employment and contract disputes and workers compensation defense.
